GREENWICH CENTRAL SCHOOL ANNOUNCES
TOP TEN GRADUATES IN THE CLASS OF 2024



Mr. George Niesz, Greenwich High School Principal, is pleased to announce the top ten graduates of the Class of 2024.

Seth Boddery - Seth is the son of David and Bonnie Boddery. While at GCS Seth participated in Yearbook, Student Council, Boy Scouts, 4-H Skeet Shooting and was a Boys State Attendee. He received the National Rural and Small Town Recognition for Outstanding Academic Achievement from the College Board, Alfred University Scholars Award, University of Rochester Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award, 2nd place in VFW Voice of Democracy Essay Contest - District 3, John “Jobbie” and Helen Andrews Award for Distinguished Service to Scouting.

 Future Plans - Seth will be attending Clarkson University in the fall to pursue a degree in
Aerospace Engineering.


Noah Davis - Noah is the son of Brian and Stephanie Davis. While at GCS Noah participated in Future Farmers of America (FFA) - State Reporter (2024-2025), National FFA Parliamentary Procedure - LDE Bronze Rank, Discussion Meet - CDE State Champion, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medalist, Greenwich Track and Field - Captain, Section 2 Division 4 - Weight Throw Champion, Wasaren League Champion in Weight Throw and Shot Put, Greenwich Football - Captain, Section 2 Class D - First Team All Star, Times Union Small School Second Team, Post Star Small School First Team, New York State Sportswriters Association Class D Honorable Mention.

 Future Plans - Noah will be attending Cornell University and majoring in Biological Engineering.


Caroline Kelly - Caroline is the daughter of Christopher and Stephanie Kelly. Caroline has been involved in the following activities while at GCS. Math League (2021-2024), Yearbook Club (2022-2024), FFA (2018-2024), FFA Sentinel (2022-2023), FFA VP (2023-2024), National Honor Society (2022-2024), Jazz Band (2021-2024), Varsity Choir (2022-2023), Band Concert (2018-2024), Cross Country (2018-2023), Indoor Track (2018-2024), Outdoor Track (2024), Lacrosse (2018-2023), FFA Dairy Judging Top 40 National Individuals (2023), 1st place State Parliamentary Procedure Team (2023-2024), 1st place State Dairy Judging Team (2023), State Winning Beef Production Proficiency (2024), State Winning Sales Proficiency (2024), Girls Cross Country Wasaren League Champs (2020 and 2021), Girls Indoor Track Wasaren League Champs (2023), Wasaren League Girls Cross Country All Star (2021 & 2022)

 Future Plans - Caroline will be attending the University of Rochester to major in Cell and Developmental Biology. She is hoping to attend Veterinary school.


Kiley Allen - Kiley is the daughter of Cary and Amanda Allen. While at GCS Kiley participated in Yearbook Committee, Math League, Greenwich Little League Camp, In Person Tutoring, Travel Softball (Year Round), Varsity Softball - Second Team All State - NYS Championship 2022. She did an Internship at Finishing Touches and Blooms Floral Design. Kiley worked as a Hostess/Busser. Kiley received the Women of Distinction Award from Carrie Woerner, Zonta Women's Club Scholarship Voice of Democracy, Student Sage Award and the Augsbury/North Country Scholarship.

 Future Plans - Kiley is attending Kean University in New Jersey majoring in Interior Design and playing Softball.


Molly Abate - Molly is the daughter of Sean and Patrice Abate. While at GCS Molly participated in Varsity Soccer - Captain - Section 2 All Star Team - All League Soccer Team - 3rd team All State Class C, Times Union Girls Soccer First Team All State, Varsity Lacrosse - Captain, Spanish Club, Yearbook Club, National Honor Society - Vice President, Art Club, a Peer Tutor, Youth Soccer and Lacrosse Coach, volunteer at the Greenwich Free Library and Comfort Foods Community, worked at Farmers Daughter and for the Greenwich Town Youth Program, internship in the elementary and middle school buildings, Memory Project, and a writer for a local newspaper. Her poetry and artwork was chosen for Talent Unlimited Superintendent’s Gallery, She was awarded Scholar Athlete, NYSUT Retiree Council 10 Scholarship for Washington County, High Honor Roll and a recipient of the Character Award.

 Future Plans - Molly plans to attend SUNY Oneonta to major in Elementary Education.


Lily Nichols - Lily is the daughter of Erik and Jennifer Nichols. While at GCS Lily was involved in Track & Field, French Club, Art Club, Hope Club and she volunteered at Snack Pack (a program through Saratoga Springs Central School District which provides food for students, where she was actively involved during quarantine and summertime. Lily’s accomplishments while at GCS were the High Honor Roll (2019-present), Talent Unlimited Literary Arts Journal WSWHE BOCES poem was accepted, Voting Encouragement Poster Contest Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner and the St. Michael's Book Award from St. Michael's College.

 Future Plans - Lily will be studying Computer Science.


Jackson Fortier - Jackson is the son of Sean and Nicole Fortier. While at GCS Jack participated in Mr. Waite’s Benefit Dinner (2018-2019), Student Council Adopt a Student/Operation Rudolph Wrap Presents (2018-2024), Class Vice President (2018-2023),
Mathcounts (2018-2020), Junior Jazz Band (2018 -2020), Modified Soccer ( 2018-2019 Captain), Modified Basketball (2018-2020), Modified Baseball (2018-2019).  Future Plans - Jack plans to study History and Sociology at St. Lawrence University. He also plans on joining the club soccer team and a musical group.


Evan Merrill - Evan is the son of Jonathan and Kathleen Merrill. Evan received the NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Award while competing on Greenwich men's lacrosse and soccer teams. He is a high honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society. He has been awarded the President's Award for Academic Excellence. He has interned with the Cambridge/Greenwich
Police Department, received the George Eastman Young Leaders Award and attended American Legion Boys State.

 Future Plans - Evan plans to pursue a career in teaching mathematics at the secondary level.


Kelsy Smith - Kelsy is the daughter of Dean and Jessica Smith. While at GCS Kelsy participated in Varsity Choir (2022-2023, 2023-2024), Art Club, Drama Club and Varsity Cheerleading (Sectional Championship team 2022-2023, 2023-2024). Kelsy has been awarded the President's Award for Academic Excellence, Sage Scholar Award. She is a high honor roll student and a member of National Honor Society. Kelsey attended the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation and has been an active volunteer for Salem Community Cats.

 Future Plans - Kelsy plans to attend SUNY Adirondack and study fine arts.


Honora LaRock - Honora is the daughter of Jeffrey and Jennifer LaRock. While at GCS Honora worked at Hannaford Bros as an Associate Cashier and Customer Service and volunteered at Crawford Island Art (100 plus hours) volunteering as a Clay Class Assistant (2020-present). She was also a Lab Intern with Adikes Lab Siena College (2023-present), Transcribed Chapters in The History of the Town of Easton, volunteered for the Schuylerville Historical Society Online Copy Project Participant (2023), Bowl for Kids Sake Fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters (2023), Breakfast with Santa (2022), Saratoga Battlefield National Park Service (2021). While at GCS she was involved in Jazz band ( 7th grade - present), Art Club (7th grade - present), 93 Junior Ranger Badges from National Parks and Historical Sites (2016-present), Submitted Digital Art and Pottery into the Washington County Fair, Social Media Art Portfolio and Mock Trial (2023-2024). Honora received the following while at GCS. National Honor Society Inductee (2022-Present), United States Super Stem Biomimicry Division Winner (2022), Winner of the Bausch Lomb Honorary Science Scholarship (2023), AP Scholar with Honor Award (College Board 2023), National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program (College Board 2023), Highest Score on the Global Studies Regents Exam (2022), Area All State Attendee (2022-2023), NYSSMA Level Six Clarinetist, All County Band Member (7th grade - present), Presidential Award (7th grade - present), Anticipated Seal of Civic Readiness (2023), Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair - Awarded Society for In Vitro Biology (2023), Third Honorable Mention (2020), Recognized by the National Association of Biology Teachers (2020), North Country History Day Regional Contest 2nd Place Winner (2019).

 Future Plans - Honora plans to study Entomology (Insect Science) at the University of Lincoln-
Nebraska and intends to pursue a PHD in the future.
