1st Grade
GREENWICH ELEMENTARY FIRST GRADE
SUPPLY LIST 2021-22

1- pk of 12 count yellow pencils (please sharpen 4 or buy pre-sharpened)
The best brands are: Ticonderoga and Dixon
2 boxes 24 count crayons (no larger) Crayola brand is best
1 pk small pencil top erasers (not Mrs. Moore)
2 glue sticks
1 pair of blunt tip scissors Fiskars work best
1 pk fine tip washable markers
1 small hand- held pencil sharpener
2 sturdy plastic folders with bottom pockets - no prongs/fasteners,
(Some folders stay nice till the end, but some children go through 3-4 in a year.
We recommend getting a good one like Mead or stocking up on a few while the sales are good this summer..
1 plastic box to hold crayons and pencils (not a pouch or zipper)
Please write your child’s name on the top of the box with a permanent marker.
1 box black only thin EXPO brand dry erase markers
(kids also go through these quickly so you may want to buy extra boxes while they are on sale).
1 pair headphones/ear-buds in zipper plastic bag labeled with child’s name
1 pair of clean black socks to use as erasers on white boards
A water bottle labeled with your child’s name that they can use independently.
A face mask with elastic loops each day and 1 extra in backpack (depending on current CDC requirements)
1 sturdy backpack labeled with your child’s name
Please label scissors and box with your child’s name or initials with permanent marker.
Please place 4 pencils, 1 box of crayons, scissors, glue sticks, pencil sharpener and eraser
inside the plastic box - all taken out of packages. Thank you!

*Please work on shoe tying this summer!
It is a skill most first graders should have mastered by September.
There are different tricks to help you teach your child if you look online.
If they have not mastered the skill, please consider shoes without ties for school
but keep practicing at home.
These supplies will be for your child only and may need to be replenished throughout the year.
Please consider having pencils, glue sticks, dry erase markers, scissors,
and crayons available at home if needed as well.

2nd Grade

Hello! The Fourth Grade Team of Teachers is very excited that you will be joining us next year.
There are a few things that you can do to get ready for fourth grade. We would like for you to practice your multiplication and division facts. Also, reading is one of our favorite hobbies. Please read some great books this summer so that you can tell us all about them in the fall.
