Steps to File Your FAFSA

STEP 1

Create Your FSA ID To Electronically Sign the FAFSA

Click here to create your FSA ID!

  • The FSA ID is used to electronically sign and submit the FAFSA
  • Student must create a unique FSA ID
  • One Parent/Guardian must also create a unique FSA ID
  • These IDs are important and should be stored in a safe location
  • They will be needed to apply for financial aid each year of college

CSS Profile

Click here to create your CSS profile!

  • An additional financial aid form used by select colleges
  • Check college admissions pages to see if the CSS Profile is required by schools listed in your application
  • The CSS Profile can be completed anytime after October 1 of senior year
