Welcome to the Greenwich Central School District Music Department Webpage!
We hope you find it useful and will visit often.
The music department provides each student with an opportunity to experience, create, develop and apply skills for self-expression, by performing in vocal, classroom, and instrumental music.
Music provides opportunities for the development of the aesthetic qualities of the student, including positive self-image, self-discipline, and positive group interaction.
Students are encouraged to continue their interest in music beyond graduation, allowing individuals an emotional release from the pressures of a technological society.
The school music program exists to inform, challenge, enhance and provide meaningful musical experiences, so that the student may establish a life-long relationship with music.
We work in partnership with the students, district, parents, and community members to assure that music education is integrated as part of a basic education.
