Jr. High Chorus is a large and welcoming chorus, where no experience is necessary.  We explore vocal music through a wide range of appropriate vocal styles for the Junior High.  Three part harmony is introduced as well as some simple drumming and dance.  It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the joys of finding our own voices!

 

Sr. High Chorus is also a large and welcoming chorus. Vocal technique is explored more in depth and the music becomes more advanced.  Vocal lessons open to students who want to participate in Area All State, All County and solos for Pops Concert as well as NYSSMA.

 

Both Jr. High and Sr. High choruses are performing organizations.  We have scheduled concerts throughout the school year, it is mandatory for each member to attend these scheduled concerts (see grading rubrics).  In addition students have opportunities to attend various outside school performing groups such as All County, Area All State, Melodies of Christmas, and NYSSMA solo/ensemble festivals.
