Below are a few of the weekly routines and upcoming events that you should know about.

June 9th - Field Day

June 14th - Flag Day ceremony 8:45 a.m. Primary Circle

June 23rd - Last day of school for students

Reading:

The children are excited about reading in their trade books. This is a great opportunity for the students to become exposed to a variety of popular literature. All students should be reading at home each night for at least 20 minutes.

Spelling:

Spelling words will be distributed every Monday. The spelling test will be each Friday. Check out the spelling word search page on our class site! The students will earn a bonus point on their spelling test if they complete the word search at home.

Handwriting:

We will be working in our Zaner Bloser books to practice our letter formations.

Math: In chapter 11, we are exploring the topic of 3-digit adding and subtracting with regrouping. Please practice math facts at home so that they can be committed to memory.

Science: Our current science topic is "Simple Machines." Please ask your son or daughter about the presenter from Scotia - Glenville Museum that came to visit!

Health: Personal Safety, Bicycle safety, Disease Prevention, Drug Abuse Prevention, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention.

Friday - Phys. Ed.

*Students should wear/bring sneakers on Gym days.

*Students are responsible for returning Library books each Thursday.
