Your child will be asked to complete a short homework assignment each night.  I will occasionally assign weekend homework as well.  If you find that your child seems to be doing more work each night than seems reasonable, it may be that they are finishing  class work that they were unable to  complete in the time allotted.

Each month the children will be  required to read a chapter book and complete a book project.  I did not assign a book project for the month of March.  Instead, students have selected a state to research and this packet was given to your child the first week in March.  They will be completing a written report and then they will present some of that information orally to the class at the beginning of April.  We will spend class time gathering information and taking notes, but students will not be allowed to type their report at school.  They may handwrite their report if they do not have access to a computer.  The state project will be due in phases and your child has these dates written down on the cover sheet of their state packet.
