Classwork:
Students are expected to keep all of their work in a 3-ring binder,
bringing it to class daily and submitting it for grading quarterly. |
|
Homework:
Students are expected to complete their work on time.
Generally, assignments for the week are posted in class on Monday and on
the webpage on Tuesday. Undone or
incomplete work may be finished for a better grade up until the assignment
is reviewed in class. After that,
the only way a student’s homework grade may be improved is by completing
additional, equivalent work. |
|
Tests:
Students are expected to study for periodic tests and quizzes.
Most assessments are announced in advance, however, checks for reading or
understanding are unannounced.
Students who fail a test may take a retest within one week of receiving
the failing grade. |
|
Absences:
Students are expected to make up all missed work as soon as possible.
Also, they are expected to participate fully in class upon the first day
of their return. A student must
make arrangements to make up work
before a planned
absence.
Failure to do so could result in a “0” for any missed work. |
|
Behavior:
Students are expected to learn and follow classroom rules and routines within
the first few weeks of school. Additional
rules and procedures may be established as needed throughout the year.
Persistent misbehavior, which interferes with the teaching and learning
process, will not be tolerated. |
|
Consequences:
The nature, severity, and frequency of the misbehavior, the school’s
discipline code, and law will be considered when consequences are applied. |
