What is it….
The Work Experience Program provides a link between school and parents, business people and the community by including them into the educational process.  These resources offer a unique opportunity to help prepare our students for life by helping them make decisions regarding career choices.  Students clearly benefit from experiences tied to the broader community because they learn the relevance of their educational tasks and know by observation and direct experience that the skills they are developing will be valued and have relevance beyond the classroom.  Because their career awareness is increasing, students will be more likely to select occupations that match their interest and abilities.

What it isn't…
The Work Experience Program is not a vocational education program. The objective is Career Exploration Awareness.

Who is it for…
The Work Experience Program offers opportunities to ALL high school seniors who are interested in discovering new skills and exploring the world beyond their classrooms and homes.
