What do interns have to say about the program?

The program was at times tough in the sense that I had to take on so much more responsibility with internships, but it more or less made my work ethic and boosted my confidence to what it is today.

I really think it helps with college to have those kinds of internships show up on an application and colleges often require their students do internships.

It is also very good for summer jobs.  Without the Work Experience program I never would have considered it possible to make decent money at a summer job as a kid doing a job I loved.

I have an awesome campus job because of my intern-filled resume.  It will come in big for a possible internship/study abroad in Russia in my Junior year."

 Kate Cerrone, Class of 2007

"Choosing to participate in the internship program that my high school offered was a great choice. It allowed me to step into the real world and get a feel for jobs that I was interested in. I was able to meet great people, learn a lot, and develop professional contacts. At the end of one of my internships I was offered an amazing job, which I kept for the next six years.  Not only did I gain so much out of the program; it put me far ahead of my classmates as I entered college.  Here I am six years later, still getting ahead in my career because of the experience I gained through this program."
