7th Grade Homework Procedure

Welcome to 7th grade! As your teachers, we anticipate a successful
year together. Outlined below is the
homework procedure for the 2004-2005 school year. Please remember, the best homework procedure
for all students is simply to get it done.
All homework is assigned to help you expand your knowledge of each
subject area. Doing your homework on
time will make you a successful student!
Homework Heroes:
Students who hand in all homeowkr
assignments in a subject during the five-week interim period and at the end of
quarter will be added to the distinguished list of Homework Heroes that hangs
outside the main office.
At the end of each quarter, all
Homework Heroes’ names will be added to a raffle to win great prizes including
gift certificates to local stores and restaurants. Last year, Subway Subs donated six-inch subs
coupons for Homework Hero raffle winners!
Missing an Assignment – Any late assignments will result
in a penalty
You may be expected to
make arrangements with your teacher to make up missed homework assignments
(i.e. staying after school, coming for help during study hall, handing in the
assignment within 24 hours etc)
Major Assignments – For major assignments, you will
be expected to follow the above procedure.
In addition, each day a major assignment is late, you will lose 10% of
your grade. If it is 2 days late you
will lose 50% of your grade. If you fail
to complete a major assignment after three days your grade will result in a
zero.
Uncompleted Homework – Any homework that is not
completed will result in a zero.
Please Note – Homework assignments that are reviewed
in class cannot be made up. You must be
able to participate in class that day.
Therefore, if these assignments are not done, your grade will result in
a zero.
