Personal Finance Course Description

Do you want to understand the complex financial world you will encounter during your lives? Topics covered will include:  overall managing personal finances, banking, investing, checking/saving accounts, debt, identity fraud, insurance, recordkeeping, income taxes, credit, budgeting, taxes as well as business mathematics topics from personnel, to production, purchasing, financial management and planning.  Students will routinely use the internet, Excel spreadsheets, and several computer applications with real world connections. This is a one-half year, one-half credit course recommended for Juniors and Seniors.
