Adirondack Community College Course Offerings

 

Students have the opportunity to earn up to six ACC credits while still in high school.  Students wishing to obtain college credit must have a GPA in Business OR an overall GPA greater than 85%. These courses are weighted 1.1 in class average. 

BUS 100—Word Processing in Windows is a beginning-level college course that provides an overview of the Windows environment, use of the mouse, and basic experience in creating text, modifying text, and applying attributes to text in different types of documents using a Windows word processing program.  This is a 3 college credit / 1 local credit, one-half year course. 

Bus 101—Introduction to Business provides an understanding of the environment in which business operates. Topics include economics, finance, the security markets, ownership structure, banking, management and marketing. The integration of these topics into everyday business operations will be stressed. A stock project will be completed.  This is a 3 college credit / 1 local credit, one-half year course.
