Jackie Boyce set a new Greenwich Indoor Track school record in the pole vault
with a vault of 8 feet in League Meet Number One on Sunday.
The old record of 7 feet was set by Alix Broomfield in 2006.

The National High School XC Coaches Association, which ranks high school teams, has two subcategories: Large Schools (400 plus students in grades 9-12) and Small Schools. GCS finished as the 3rd ranked small school in the nation and was 1st among small public high schools

The Witches cross country team capped off a great season this past Saturday at the Nike Cross National Regionals held at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls.  The girls team place 6th in the championship division.  The team was paced by Madeline Montague in 15th place, Vicky Houser in 20th place, Sarah Lapham in 57th place, Tori Spiezio in 68th place, Jackie Boyce in 118th place and Annie Grimmke in 132nd place.  Austin Lane and Jeremy Spiezio placed 28th and 80th respectively in the boys championship race.
